After waking me up at an unearthly time, he insisted we went to Haynes of Challow to buy some more tools and take a look around before going to the house.
My mum met us there and we set to work continuing to clean the inside whilst Andy chopped cleared more of the outside. He got the other tree down too pretty much on his own!
Freddie (the chap who owns the field we look out onto) stopped by today and said hello. It was nice to finally meet him and put a face to the name.
We really need to start taking sustenance along with us to the house as we were all parched after a fee hours so Andy went to the local shop (which is 2 villages away - so not so local really!) and after a refuel, we cracked on to finish up.
Mum did a cracking job cleaning the bathroom!
It's a shame the sink has cracks in it as it is nice. But it will do for now, as we have the little one we found in the shed for when we re-do the bathroom eventually.
The bath is a cast iron bath and as she was cleaning it, the enamel started coming off. We aren't really sure what the best way is to clean these types of baths. I'm sure google will have the answer!
With the tree now down, there is so much more light going into her bathroom!
If you are wondering what I did, I was in the bedroom wiping everything down, but I didn't take a photo conveniently ;-)
Andy's OCD made an appearance at some point today and he cleared up the main room and put the tools is some order (I was specifically told at the end of the day where my gloves MUST be stored).
I learn some new stuff from it too, thanks for sharing your information.
